One Day One Choir

This event was in conjunction with One Day One Choir.

This is a global choral initiative, starting in 2014, which has been created to mobilize the inspiring and harmonious power of singing together to unite people globally to sing for peace on and around Peace Day, September the 21st.

The Local Dingle Choir groups did their part when they joined together in Dingle town. There was a fantastic turn out on the day !

Ceoltóirí nua atá ag teacht chun cinn – New and upcoming Musicians

Tá clú agus aitheantas bainte amach riamh ag Corca Dhuibhne ó thaobh an cheoil traidisiúnta de Le blianta beag anuas is foinse é chomh maith do cheoltóirí aonair agus bannaí ceoil de gach saghas ceoil atá ag teacht chun cinn. Labhramar le beirt do na cheoltóirí seo atá tosnaithe amach ar an saol mór. Is í Sorcha Ní Bhriain amhránaí is scríbhneoir agus Proinnsias Ó Cathasaigh ceoltóir agus amhránaí ar an sean nós.

Dingle has always been a traditional music hub, but in more recent times it has become the birthplace of successful bands and solo musicians spanning every type of genre. Scrogall TV recently spoke to two of the Dingle Peninsula’s up and coming young musicians, Proinnsias Ó Cathasaigh and Sorcha Ní Bhriain, about their early beginnings, their success so far and their plans for the future.
